The interior of this garden level apartment within a Grade II listed townhouse in Holland Park had been stripped back to shell condition by a previous owner, and is now sensitively restored and refurbished. The scheme re-introduces heritage detailing and spatial proportions, while integrating subtle technical improvements within the historic framework – upgrading the property to current acoustic and thermal performance standards. Traditional materials and construction methods were employed alongside careful execution of high quality finishes and contemporary detailing. The resulting project is respectful of the original architecture, and well-adapted for modern living.
