Ben Jonson House – Barbican

A private apartment with feature walls throughout in colours inspired by Le Corbusier’s colour palette (much-loved by the client), are offset by a muted grey rubber floor and the use of dark wood and wired glass, referencing materials of the original architecture. The original main staircase was carefully restored, and a new mezzanine level added into the barrel-vaulted top floor creating a new bedroom suite with a wetroom and dressing area, all complemented by the client’s mid-century modern furniture and fittings.
