A self-initiated development by Emulsion, this project is the transformation of a former off-licence into three urban homes over four storeys. Rather than flattening the site, an ‘adapt and re-use’ approach was taken which afforded the development a BREEAM excellent rating.  The materials selected reference the area’s industrial heritage, including metal mesh and Japanese charred timber shou-sugi ban cladding, used both outside and inside of the building.
