Emulsion was co-commissioned by Santo and Knight Dragon to create an outdoor dining terrace of 70 covers, an expansion to their 22 indoor covers. Taking the cuisine of the restaurant as a cue, we took inspiration from the Pantheon and Italianate gardens.
The weather conditions here required the terrace to be enclosed by a windbreak, which we designed as a 30 metre geometric arc of steelwork. This makes an architectural statement for Knight Dragon on this prominent site in the public realm of the Greenwich Peninsula and as their gateway to the Design District.
