FASHION PAVILION, ROME

Our project is a re-incarnation of the previous Passerella di Ripetta from the Ponte Cavour in Rome, Italy.
The historical temporary bridge lends our pavilion its pattern: the black timber framework forms a weaving structure.

The pavilion houses a catwalk stage and viewing platforms, floating above the normal traffic of the bridge – reinforcing the linear movement of people, cars and the river below.
The structure is lined with flexible translucent acrylic sheet, so by night it becomes a glowing beacon along the riverscape.
